Beliefs
There are 3 kinds of beliefs in China, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
Buddhism was first introduced to China around the 1st century B.C. There were Buddhist monks, and they use Taoist terms to describe Buddhist concepts in order to make the teachings understandable.
The Buddhist monks also believe that single souls would continually reborn until the Buddha hood was succeeded it was unacceptable to the Chinese people who believe there are eternal lives of individual souls.
When souls were judged by the Taoist god, they would send the dead souls to the eastern mountain of Taishan, which is a gathering place for all dead souls. When spirits were judged by Gods, and the souls were found guilty, they would be sent to hell of the underworld, but if they were found nice in their life, they would be rewarded by being reborn as a type of tropical water in the western paradise, a domain of Amitabha Buddha. These compromises allowed the Buddha into existing belief systems.
Taoism
The second kind of belief is Taoism, also meaning the path of the way. The teachings of Taoism are based on nature, meaning of the universe and the human life of Laozu.
The historical figure was believed to be alive around the 6th century B.C. Taoist belief embraces nature and its mysteries. They tell many truths and show wisdom. They believe Tao is the origin of the universe and created all living things so this is why they would worship all of the life in the universe,
and everything else created by nature.
Taoist teachings were Wuwei (means non-action) tries persuading people not to try to control nature but conform with it instead, they also advocates people not to desire too much from nature. Taoist also believes that people could be physically immortal.
There are two kinds of alchemists. One of them is the outer alchemist, it was believed in herbal medicine.
The other kind of alchemist is inner alchemist who was believed inside their bodies which was energy inside their bodies, qi and spirit, as a result Chinese medical science and Taoism helped each other along the way. Taoist considered that Yin and Yang are negative and Positive leaders of the world, one of them cannot live without the other, they often symbolize opposites and usually Yin means negative and Yang usually means positive. Taoism became a religious belief and also as the state religion during the last East Han Dynasty.
Confucianism
Confucianism meant the way of Confucianism and Mencius, it was found by Confucius in the spring and autumn period (770 B.C-476 B.C). Confucianism became domain to the Chinese for almost 2 million years. Japan had also become influential in the two cultures. Confucian and his Confucianism had such an impact to the Chinese civilization that Chinese culture and history would have been the different way; it also had the power to change the Chinese attitude toward life, it had set the living pattern and Social standards value like, for training government officials.
The founder of Confucianism was born in Qufu, Shandong province, his name was Kong Qiu, he was an outstanding thinker and educationist but he was born poor and also managed to get good education.
In one of Confucianism beliefs, women had no human rights and dignity. They had to obey their fathers when they were not married; when they are married they had to obey their husbands. In the age of widowhood, they had to obey their sons.
These were some of the things a normal women should behave, proper speech, modest manner and hardworking were their basic excellence manners were what they had to have, but if they have these barren, unfilial, talkative, jealous, heavily sick or in Voluntary sexual intercourse with another person between a married person and was not their husband and also stealing, they would be divorced no matter what the reasons were.
